ChatHub solves a familiar annoyance for anyone who regularly uses more than one AI assistant. Instead of opening ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and other services in separate tabs, you can send the same prompt to several models and compare their responses on one screen.

The Chrome extension is the more distinctive version of the product. Depending on your preferred setup, it can connect through existing chatbot accounts, personal API keys, or ChatHub’s own AI service. Its current Chrome Web Store listing also mentions support for custom chatbots that use OpenAI-compatible APIs.

The idea is simple, but it saves a surprising amount of copying and tab switching.

ChatHub is most useful when the differences between answers matter as much as the answers themselves.

One model may give a short, confident response to a research question, while another adds qualifications or points out missing context. For coding tasks, several models might solve the same problem with noticeably different approaches. A brainstorming brief can produce a wider mix of ideas without requiring you to paste it into every chatbot manually.

Comparison is also handy for spotting uncertainty. Agreement between several models does not prove that a claim is correct, but disagreement is a good reason to stop and check the source.

ChatHub’s website currently advertises access to more than 20 models. The live app includes options from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI, DeepSeek, Kimi, MiniMax, Qwen, and other providers.

That selection changes over time. The model picker inside the app is therefore a better guide than an old extension description listing specific versions.

The browser extension gives users several ways to reach AI services.

Custom chatbot support gives ChatHub more flexibility than a fixed comparison page. Its documentation names OpenAI, OpenRouter, Ollama, Together.ai, and other compatible services as examples.

ChatHub includes a prompt library for saving instructions you use often. If you routinely test the same research prompt, writing brief, or coding task across several models, this removes another repetitive step.

Chat history is searchable, and ChatHub says conversations created through the extension are stored locally in the browser.

Its Smart Web Access feature can bring current internet information into supported conversations. That is useful for questions where a model’s built-in knowledge may be stale, although ChatHub describes the feature as experimental. Original sources still need checking.

The extension also includes Markdown rendering, code highlighting, dark mode, keyboard shortcuts, and a Chrome side-panel view. The side panel is particularly practical because it keeps ChatHub within reach while you browse another page.

ChatHub is no longer limited to the extension. The wider platform now includes web, Windows, macOS, and mobile access, along with image generation, translation, and web-summarization tools.

The obvious drawback is information overload. Four AI responses can mean four times as much reading, even when the question was simple enough for one capable model.

The experience also depends on the providers behind each chatbot. If ChatHub connects through an existing account, that service’s restrictions and usage limits still apply.

Privacy depends partly on how the tool is used. ChatHub says chat history is stored locally and is not used for model training. Its privacy policy makes an exception for uploaded PDF documents, which may be stored temporarily for processing before being deleted automatically.

Users comparing sensitive material should understand which data stays in the browser and which data is sent elsewhere.
